Also, those are bad solder connections. I suggest going through your wire taking them apart and use heat shrink solder tubes. They're cheap and super redundant. And you don't twist the wires together, you braid them. Check out a video on HRpost it will save your ass when water and vibrations crack those connections and you are chasing faults with the car all buttoned up!

How to make a British car more reliable, use BMW electronics! hah. But, seriously great work guys, it's a good lesson to learn not to pay a premium just for a brands name tag.... its all the same unreliable connectors from Germany, China, Taiwan...

Love the rebuild. "Wear gloves", those are strong chemicals. You might want to invest in a blast cabinet, and or enclosed parts cleaner. Anyone planning to restore an early car, look into chemical dipping.
